Once in a lifetime coaching opportunity from top England footballers!

On Wednesday 12th September, PE teacher Gemma Mills took a group of our female football players to spend the morning with students from Alumwell Junior School, taking part in a coaching session led by England ladies footballers.

Centre back Sophie Bradley, aged 22, and 23-year-old winger Jess Clarke delivered a remarkable sequence of drills and demonstrated their superb skills to the young players, who have no doubt been inspired by this incredible experience.

The excitement continued when students took part in a question and answer session in assembly, where Sophie Bradley and Jess Clarke were grilled on everything from life in the Olympic Village to meeting David Beckham!

Sophie and Jess proved what great role models they are when explaining the hard work and commitment involved, but most significantly how important education is.
