Presentation Evening 2012

Students Rewarded for Outstanding Success at West Walsall E-ACT’s Inaugural Presentation Evening 2012

Last Thursday evening parents, teachers and a variety of special guests celebrated the achievements of our students at an all singing, all dancing event that took place within Walsall’s historic Town Hall.

Students were highlighted for their outstanding achievements throughout the last academic year, with members of staff representing their subject zones giving a few words about each student and explaining why they deserve the accolade they were about to receive. Our special guest, BBC Midlands Today’s Michael Collie handed the awards to each of our students, stopping to pose for a picture with each and every one of them.

Our hosts, Head Students Natalie Nolan and Ryan Simmons, introduced a variety of musical and dance performances to delight our guests; from a vocal duet performed by some of our Year 8 students, to a traditional Indian dance routine called ‘Aaja Nachle’.

Mr Collie closed the evening with a riveting speech about being inspired and inspiring others.

This fantastic evening was a wonderful success, congratulating our students on their outstanding achievements and inspiring them to go even further.
