West Walsall E-ACT Academy decided to raise money for Children in Need, the BBC charity which supports thousands of people aged 18 and under. Our Academy managed to raise a mammoth £2,000, so a huge thank you to all students and staff that arranged, organised and contributed towards this worthy cause.
In the days surrounding Friday 16 November 2012, students embarked on all kinds of activities, including baking cakes, penalty shootout competitions, various raffles, and a variety of sponsored events including, swims, runs, walks & silences. It was all in the name of charity – and having plenty of fun in the process! The fund raising was also a house competition, so congratulations to Hadley House who raised £425.35, which was the most money raised by a single house.
Below is a breakdown on how the £2,000 was achieved:
- Hadley House £425.35
- Carnegie House £399.33
- Wyndlow House £318.65
- Miscellaneous £317.94
- Post 16 £286.09
- Anson House £252.64
Thank you for all your donations!
