Open Evening Proves a Winner

Our annual Open Evening for prospective students on 26 September proved a winner – and especially so for one lucky Year 6 student.  Zoe of Bloxwich Church of England Primary School was the winner of our passport competition and was presented with her prize – an iPod Shuffle – at her school’s weekly family worship assembly on 18 October.

Students had to visit different departments and have their passport stamped in order to enter a prize draw.  Along with many other students and their families, Zoe managed to visit all 14 subject areas where there was an opportunity, among other things, to sample cookery, participate in literacy and numeracy games or have a go at badminton or basketball.

Parents also had an opportunity to hear about recent developments at the academy and talk with staff about the wide range of opportunities available for students.
