Once again the students and staff of WWEA have pulled together to collect an impressive amount for the BBC’s annual Children in Need event. The final amount collected was well in excess of £1,000 – a large increase on last year’s final donation.
Students and staff were involved in events that straddled the whole of the week and included events such as doughnut sales and decoration, cake stalls, raffles for teddy bears, guess the amount of sweets in a jar, pakora selling, sponge the teacher (a very popular event) and the annual Talent Show in the theatre on Wednesday.
Students involved in these events showed their characteristic ‘West Walsall enthusiasm’ and generosity of time, spirit and money.
All students and staff should be very proud of their efforts, especially at such a busy time. You have shown, yet again, that there is always time to help people who need it.
