West Walsall Students Sporting & Enterprise achievements

On the 4th of December nine of West Walsall’s students represented the academy in the KS3 badminton tournament at Willenhall. The team of girls; Amy F, Emily M and Rhianne G won their group stage, losing only one match out of 10 and going on to win the final. The two teams of boys both finished second in their groups going on to compete against each other for the third and fourth positions. The boys were Adil K, Ibrahim I, Isaiah S, Haidar K, Tanzeel A and Numaan S. The girls and third place boys team will now represent the Willenhall partnership at the Walsall Badminton tournament in the New Year. Please congratulate the students on their efforts.

Jessica B, Year 9 student at West Walsall, was on Sky Sports at the weekend talking about the issue of the Women’s Football World Cup being played on artificial turf.

A group of Young Enterprise students from West Walsall’s Year 12 spent Saturday 6th December in the Mander Centre in Wolverhampton selling their wares. Thanks to Mrs Juss (Head of Post 16) for supporting them.
