The catering team at West Walsall E-ACT Academy recently received the highest ‘five star’ Food Hygiene rating following an inspection by Walsall Council’s Environmental Health Department. The inspection looked at compliance with food hygiene and safety procedures, the physical condition of food preparation areas and the effectiveness of management and control procedures.
The catering service is wholly managed and operated by the academy, under Catering Manager Devendar Sarai. Environmental Health Officer Tracey White commented, “I am extremely pleased to note the very high standards achieved by the catering department. This is a credit to Devendar and her staff.”
