Admissions for September 2016
The application process for admission in September 2016 has now closed. All applications for the academy will be considered in accordance with our published admission criteria.
Parents/carers who submitted an online application for a place at the academy and requested an email notification will receive details of the outcome of their child’s application by email on Tuesday 1 March 2016. The emails will be produced and sent out by an automated process over the course of the day on Tuesday 1 March 2016. Parents/carers will also receive notification of the outcome of their application by a letter to be posted by second class post on Tuesday 1 March 2016.
Admissions for September 2017
Details of admission arrangements for September 2017 will be published in due course.
The academy has 180 places available to Year 7 students each year. We participate in a co-ordinated admission scheme administered by Walsall Council and a number of other local authorities including Birmingham, Dudley, Sandwell, Staffordshire and Wolverhampton.
The scheme allows Walsall parents of Year 6 children (who will transfer to secondary education in September 2017) to express preferences for up to five secondary schools, rank them in order of preference and give reasons for their preference. The form may be used to apply for a place at most secondary schools in or outside the borough, including the academy. Full details are available on the council’s website here.
